Develops and reviews inspection procedures, test plans and establishes routine monitoring programs for electrical equipment. Schedules inspection of electrical equipment with operations and maintenance personnel. Develops detailed inspection reports and recommendations. Reviews and audits internally all critical systems recommendations and reports for any improvement as required. Provides expert consulting to Project Engineering on all new electrical equipment purchases and ensures proper codes and specifications are followed. Handles special projects related to electrical plant equipment purchases and diagnostic equipment purchases and serves, when needed, as primary contact for resolution of equipment worst actors long term remedies. Provides technical support to the Cathodic protection technician as required and reviews cathodic protection designs. Communicates with equipment’s vendor manufacturer on electrical equipment failures or enhancement to increase electrical systems integrity, reliability, and availability. Performs advanced study on load flow, short-circuit, coordination and ARC Flash using ETAP or SKM and update existing data bases. Download, analyze and interprets the test data, relay setting, meter reading, etc. Analyzes and diagnostics S-Chem protections relay setting and perform enhancement as best practice and standard. Assists in implementing CPChem Best Practices Reliability Process into the maintenance and engineering function. Performs any other relevant task as directed by Lead Engineer Electrical. Education: Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Four (4) years of experience in similar position.
